Fattoush is a Lebanese salad that’s made with toasted pita bread, cucumbers, tomatoes, onions, and seasoned with olive oil, lemon juice and sumac.

The title comes from the Arabic phrase “fattāḥ”, that means “to interrupt into items” or “to be combined collectively.” It’s usually served as an appetizer or aspect dish.

Substances for Fattoush

  • 1 Onion giant, thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp Sumac
  • 2 Tomatoes giant, diced
  • 4 Cucumber diced
  • 1/4 bunch Mint Leaves chopped
  • 1/2 bunch Parsley
  • 1 bunch Watercress
  • 10 Lettuce shredded
  • 5 Radish sliced into rounds
  • 1 loaf Pita Bread medium, toasted, lower into small squares

For the Dressing:

  • 2 Garlic Cloves crushed
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 3 tbsp Crimson Wine Vinegar
  • 5 tbsp Olive Oil

Find out how to make Fattoush

  • Combine the onions and sumac in a bowl.

  • Add the greens and blend effectively.

  • Combine half of the bread with greens.

  • In an one other bowl combine all of the dressing substances.

  • Add the dressing to the greens and blend gently.

  • Garnish with the remaining bread.

  • Serve.
